Monday's Moments

Yesterday I looked out over our congregation and was reminded why we say First Baptist is a place to belong. There were longtime members and brand-new visitors, sitting side by side, singing the same songs to the same Savior.

Belonging isn't about having it all together. It's about being welcomed in just as you are, and being pointed together toward Jesus. If you've been on the fence about coming, let this be your invitation. There's room for you here.

As we look ahead to VBS and a summer of serving our community, I keep coming back to one truth: Jesus is the light of the world, and He's asked us to let that light shine through us.

This week, ask the Lord for one small way to be light to someone — a kind word, a meal, a prayer. Small lights, together, push back a lot of darkness.

Generosity isn't measured by the size of the gift but by the joy of the heart behind it. Whether it's our time, our attention, or our resources, God loves a cheerful giver.

Thank you, church family, for the countless quiet ways you give to one another and to our community. It does not go unnoticed by the Lord.
